A thank you note
Through the years I have been hopping from one platform to another and I must say that it is encouraging to see that Blogging is still relevant as we approach the end of 2025. In an age where short form videos are taking center-stage, trying to grab eye balls to our words is not a simple task. To make matters worse, there is this AI garbage that is ruining creativity in whatever form it thrived till now.
This year I came across several independent blogging software and I had tiny chats with their developers. It was very heartwarming to see many of those platforms, mostly managed by a single person, be passionate about offering a page to newbies who just want to write. One big issue was inevitably, profits. These are folks spending a lot of their time and energy trying to maintain the stuff up. Sure, there are sign-ups but that does not necessarily translate to a successful business model.
I hope that those folks continue their good work and they are rewarded for it. So this post is a big thank you to all the good souls who still give us, the weird ones, a reason to write.
