Evolution
It is funny how time passes so quickly and then you come across some thought that makes you realise how you took things for granted. You get a sudden reality check that you were never really embracing those little things and you were not giving it the love that it really deserved. I really hate how technology or shall I say the new conveniences made us blind (and dumb). I do kind of wish if we could still have some part of lives as analog.
A decade or two ago, TV was my place to end my day. There would be a channel for me to satisfy my appetite for a dose of entertainment before I could hit the sack. And when everything fails, there would be a music channel to throw some good tunes at me. Today, those channels are no longer there and the way things are going, it appears to me that the day ain't far away when the entire device would disappear from our living rooms. All thanks to streaming services as they now give us the convenience at our fingertips. The news that Vh1 was shutting down hit me hard. The sudden realisation that the last International music channel in my country is going away is really tough.
I am not a religious follower of TV channels but this is a part of my young days fading away. Now, I feel like a veteran who is struggling to narrate the youth to the next generation. Even then, I do ask myself when was the last time I wrote something with my own hands on a piece of paper? Am I being ignorant?
